Portfolio Manager Munich

The European Transitions team serves as the integral link between Account Management, Portfolio Management and IMS Operations when managing portfolio events including setting up new accounts, closing accounts, adding securities to existing portfolios and changing portfolio benchmarks.  The European Transitions Manager role will report directly to SVP, European Operations with dotted line functional reporting to SVP Global Liaison in Newport Beach.  He/she will assist with managing the  Transitions relationship in Europe.  Will also work on operations projects related to enhancing custodian and KAG communication, fixed income benchmark management, portfolio performance, enhancing transitions/operations technology, and operations management training for European account and portfolio managers.

The European Transitions Manager ensures that all aspects to setting up or closing portfolios are handled properly.  This will require managing a small  Transitions team in the Munich office and coordinating new account related activities within several departments including portfolio management, legal, compliance, funds administration, analytics, performance, account management and portfolio management. 

• Strong understanding of Fixed Income fundamentals

• A minimum of 5 years work experience in financial markets, including course work or work experience in areas related to economics, fixed income analytics or portfolio management

• Progress towards CFA/MBA a plus

• Outstanding relationship building skills

• Well organized, high energy self starter,  to work in a team environment

• Confident working with the most senior management levels
